zTech IT Solutions Joins Forces with Portside Technology

Managed Services and Enhanced Delivery now at Portside Technology

CHARLESTON, SC. Portside Technology, a team of seasoned technologists providing professional services and technology infrastructure solutions to the commercial real estate industry, and zTech, a managed technology services firm, announce a strategic merger.

Fresh on the heels of their acquisition of isofy, Portside Technology sought to expand their managed service offerings in the local Charleston market and add capacity to their service delivery capabilities. Being equally motivated in their desire to scale beyond the Charleston market and provide a broader range of services and solutions, the strategic merger with zTech was identified as an exciting opportunity for both companies. Exploration and diligence between owners lasted several months and the deal was signed September 1st, 2022 with immediate effect.

zTech’s strong client base in the local Charleston market and deep bench of experienced network engineers, systems administrators, installers, and support technicians, coupled with Portside Technology’s Workplace Infrastructure offering and isofy network management software, will deliver an end-to-end solution with immediate value to both existing and future clients. Owned and led by Zach Hogeboom, zTech has served clients for over 15 years and built a strong reputation for reliable service, knowledgeable staff, and cost-effective managed technology services.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the entire zTech team and look forward to an immediate increase in our service delivery and infrastructure management capabilities. Zach Hogeboom has built an incredible managed services business, motivated by a common mission and shared core values; I can’t wait to see what our teams will now accomplish together,” said Zach McNamara, Founder and CEO of Portside Technology.

Portside Technology will become the parent company of zTech, providing immediate value to existing zTech clients through their Workplace Infrastructure offering and established distributor relationships. Zach Hogeboom will join Portside Technology as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with responsibility for technology operations and technical staff across all brands.

“zTech is thrilled to join the Portside Technology brand where we can take service to our customers to a new level,” says Zach Hogeboom, Founder and President of zTech, “This strategic merger is an exciting time for us and helps us scale in a way to provide even more trustworthy, responsive, affordable solutions to businesses across Charleston and beyond; we are Portside!”
